Managing Content with Drupal
If you're considering a new website, you may have heard about content management systems (CMS). These systems are designed to empower you, the client, with updating websites easily, with no HTML or programming knowledge necessary. Many CMS's are scalable and can provide features like blogs, forums, dynamic calendar and more. Find out just how easy it can be to maintain your own website content:
How it works
To update any content on your website, you'll simply open up your web browser, go to your website, then login to a secure area of your website.
Once you've logged into your site, you'll be able to navigate to any page and click on edit tab, then begin making your edits.

Or, if you want to create new pages or content, just click on "create content," then choose your options.
While Drupal is very simple to use, the capabilities are scalable providing solutions for the needs of many different websites. Below is a list of just a few scenarios that might make Drupal the perfect solution for your website:
- I'd like to be able to edit my own website.
- I have frequently changing content.
- I'd like to add a blog to my site.
- I'd like to add forums to my site.
- I'd like some of my site's visitors to be able to log in and gain access to new content.
- I'd like to allow different users to be able to edit different types of content.
- I'd like to add a calendar to my site and allow users to signup for events.
- I'd like to integrate PayPal with my site.
- I'd like to add a photo gallery to my site that I can update myself.

CMS Case Study
UNCG School of Music, Theatre and Dance
Background: The performing arts departments at UNCG recently combined to become the unified School of Music, Theatre and Dance. With this organizational restructuring came the need for a new website.
Website: Using the Drupal framework, we created a website tailored to the needs of the new school. While the website needed to reflect the new umbrella of performing arts, administrators in each department still needed to maintain areas of the site and contribute content. Another project directive was to create an arts calendar that was friendly and attractive to the public, yet easy to maintain. We created a calendar that allowed site maintainers to easily add details and promotional photos for each event and promote events in several areas of the website. The site also makes it very simple to upload audio and video files as well as resources and documents relevant to current students and faculty.
